The repertoire last season included original compositions such as Egmont Overture by Beethoven, Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens, John Henry by Copland, Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 by Grieg.<\/p>\n<p>Violinist <strong>Sarah Pastor<\/strong> successfully auditioned for an assistant principal chair in the Claremont Youth Symphony Orchestra. During the 2011-12 season, the CYSO was composed of 60 students ranging in age from 9 to 21 (fourth grade through college). Members represented 31 different schools in 16 communities: Claremont, Alta Loma, Baldwin Park, Chino, Chino Hills, Corona, Covina, Diamond Bar, Glendora, Hacienda Heights, La Verne, Loma Linda, Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations are due to both Sarah and Jessica.
